Completed in 2022, this modern residential alteration and extension project included subtle modifications to the existing dwelling and the incorporation of a contemporary living area accompanied by outdoor decking and a pergola. The newly added space emanates a modern aesthetic, characterized by lofty ceilings. The structural composition comprised steel portals, timber frames, and brick walls, all supported by a raft slab foundation.

CLIFTON HILL

Built in 2018, this project was a modern residential extension, introducing a contemporary living area to the existing dwelling. The structural framework was skillfully crafted from timber and steel. To navigate the constraints posed by the narrow setting and the potential undermining risks to neighboring footings, the strategic implementation of bored pier concrete piles emerged as the chosen method for strengthening the concrete slab foundation.

COBURG

This residential alteration and extension project was constructed in 2019, encompassing modifications to the pre-existing dwelling, along with the incorporation of a rear extension accompanied by an outdoor decking area. The entirety of the structural framing was executed employing timber. The subfloor for this project was a polished concrete slab with hydronic heating, contributing to the project’s structural foundation and aesthetic appeal.

Double-Storey Addition at Queen Street,

KEW

Constructed in 2017, this two-storey residential project was an addition to a small pre-existing dwelling. The construction works also involved the integration of a fresh garage and outdoor living area. Timber and steel were employed for the structural framing. Due to geotechnical conditions and close proximity to the existing footings and concerns of destabilisation, a suspended slab on screw piles was chosen as a safety-conscious and economically viable foundation solution.
